welcome to my site!!

hiiiii this is my site! still a work in progress and a still a lot left to finish but i really really wanted to share this with others. anyone is welcome here as long as they're tolerant, respecful people c:

on the sidebar to the left there's info about my recent last.fm scrobble (which doesn't work sometimes because lastfm api kinda sucks), a music player (that hopefully works on whichever browser youre using and if it doesn't please tell me so i can (maybe) fix it), the most recent updates to the site and my button that you can put in your own site :3 to the right are various links to navigate the site or check out other places where you can find me

btw please please if you have any ideas or tips on how to improve this site please tell me i really wanna hear em. i am aware this site probably looks terrible on phone and i will try to fix that soon but for now i'll make sure it looks decent on desktop at least

also i have this thing called college which takes up a lot of my time so expect updates on this site to be very irregular

everything on here so far has been made by me except for the 88x31, which i used this generator to make, the cursor which i made on gimp based on a pinterest image that i can't seem to find rn lol, and the arrows on the journal which are taken from sm64

btw if there's anything on here you wanna use on your own site just do it, i really don't mind so there's no need to ask. it's fun when indie web sites take little things from each other to each build their own thing. disclaimer i'm not a professional coder by any means so there's a high chance any of my code just breaks at any moment :p

about me

ok. so. i really suck at introductions but hi! im smally2401 (or just smally) and as of writing this i'm 18 (almost 19 dear god) and i am currently in college studying computer engineering. i was born in spain aka the best country ever and i've lived here my entire life

i really hate the current state of the internet. i really do. social media is just a waste of time, full of toxicity and people saying the most stupid shit just to get attention. sites and sites full of ai slop, a lot of the internet feels very... not human. which is why i am making this site, i've been inspired by others to make my own little place on the internet where i can share stuff about myself with no worries. and if you're reading this and haven't made your own site, i highly recommend you do so! html and css are super easy to learn, and there's tons of already made layouts and js scripts you can use for your site. stop consuming and start creating

now that i've explained my reasoning for even making this site, i think it's time to actually talk about what i like to do. my main passion is music (listening for now, i'll start making my own in the future i promise). i'm pretty sure the moment i realized how much i loved music was watching bowie's blackstar mv. it really made me realize what music was capable of and i've become a nerdy and annoying music fan since then. there's more info about my music taste on my rym page, but a general summary of my taste would be:
